2012 Race Across Nevada Time Trial Challenge:
Way back in August 2011 the Mountain Bike Cross-Nevada Time Trail Record was set by Trevor Oxborrow: 5 Days–1 Hour–32 Minutes.
This event is an open challenge, and not an organized race. When you’re in the backcountry exercise caution, ride within your ability, know your route, carry appropriate communication equipment, always ride with a partner and vehicle support, always wear a helmet and appropriate protective gear. Brian Stark, www.statesrunner.com, set this ultra-gnarly record in July 2011. Following the American Discovery Trail’s original hiking route, he crossed Nevada from Utah to California in 11 Days–7 Hours–28 Minutes.
