Routes

American Discovery Trail:
The American Discovery Trail is a fantastic route across Nevada by foot, mountain bike, or horse. Visit www.discoverytrail.org for more information. The mountain bike route by-passes the wilderness areas by following the American Discovery Trail Bicycle Route (ADTbr).

Great Basin Bicycle Route (GBBR):
First scouted by Jason Susslin in the 1990s, the GBBR was the first MTB route to connect rideable mountain passes completely across Nevada. Sections of the American Discovery Trail Bicycle Route (ADTbr) follow the GBBR to by-pass wilderness areas. The GBBR has been used by group tours like Mountain Bike Nevada and XNVMTB. The first mountain bike crossing of the GBBR was by Jason Susslin in 2008.

Highway 50 or Highway 6:
Highway 50 and Highway 6 are spectacular road bike routes across Nevada. We can also haul gear for road cyclists who want to tackle the 50 or 6. Epic rides are more fun without a trailer or panniers to slow you down.

O.A.T.B.R.A.N., the cross-Nevada Highway 50 Group Ride is a great way to enjoy this route with SAG support with a group of cyclists.

There are countless other routes to enjoy Nevada’s backcountry, either by non-motorized or motorized means. Contact trevor@nevadatrailexpeditions.com for more route ideas.
